Maintenance Lead (J&F)

Position Overview
Responsible for overseeing the proper and safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production machinery, with a primary focus on production equipment while providing support for mechanically related facilities and utilities. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and upholds environmental compliance and safety standards. The position also manages in-house fabrication activities, supervises the maintenance team, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and implements process improvements to support operational efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring proper execution of daily maintenance tasks and adherence to safety standards.
• Focus on the operation and maintenance of production equipment, while assisting with mechanically related facilities and utilities when required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and prevent equipment malfunctions, recommending design modifications where necessary.
• Plan and execute preventive and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Manage in-house machining, fabrication, and other mechanical support tasks for production and plant operations.
• Prepare and manage materials, spare parts, and resources required for maintenance, repairs, and fabrication activities.
• Lead and coordinate equipment improvement projects, both in-house and with third-party service providers.
• Support and coordinate with the PM Planner for all maintenance activities, whether planned or unplanned, to ensure minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
• Mentor and coach maintenance staff on maintenance planning, execution, and best practices.
• Lead and/or participate in problem-solving initiatives using DMAIC, FMECA, and RCA tools (5 Whys, 6W2H, Breakdown Analysis, Fishbone Diagram).
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with operations staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Support production operations as required, including during holidays or rest days, and remain flexible with shifting schedules.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Engineering & Project Manager to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Professional license
Experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, production equipment supervision, and machining/fabrication activities.
Skills
• Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, mechanical systems, in-house machining, and fabrication.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, TPM programs, and maintenance improvement methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills to work with all levels of staff.
• Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and drive process improvements.
Other Requirements
• Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing maintenance operations.
