Position Overview
Frabelle Corporation dba J&F Foods, has an opportunity for an outstanding individual to become the Human Resources Manager. The J&F business is in growth mode and is looking for a people-first, strategic business partner and advisor to recommend and implement strategic HR initiatives and process improvements to drive organizational performance and employee engagement in a sustainable manner to support the long-term strategy and the development of teams. The business today generates more than $6B PHP or $110M USD in revenue, with beloved brands like Bossing, Yummy, and Pinoy as well as 500+ members in the organization. J&F has a strong presence in general trade with a growth trajectory in modern trade. J&F Foods is a joint venture between Johnsonville, LLC (majority) and Frabelle Fishing Corporation.
Responsibilities
• Live, lead, and embed an organizational culture that aligns to the Johnsonville Way
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that align and support the execution of the long-term organizational goals and objectives
• Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement HR policies, processes, and initiatives, to drive the organization’s HR compliance and strategic needs
• Oversee the administration of strategic HR programs including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent management, rewards, performance management, employee engagement, and learning and development
• Advise management on the legal ramifications of employment decisions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and policy changes, to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Ensure company compliance with all applicable labor laws, government regulations, and statutory requirements, including timely implementation of updates to labor standards, occupational health and safety rules, and other employment-related legislation
• Analyze organizational trends to improve employee engagement, organizational performance and process improvements
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to leadership and wider organization
• Manage and coach the HR team to deliver exceptional service and support; providing professional development opportunities to upskill and increase capabilities, skills, knowledge and expertise
• Lead the year-end tax annualization process by ensuring accurate computation, reconciliation, and reporting of annual withholding tax for all employees in compliance with BIR regulations
• Develop and manage the HR operational budget
• Work with Johnsonville team in the US on key projects to standardize HR practices across entities
• Perform other duties as required
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• MBA preferred
Experience
• 10+ years’ relevant HR experience, of which at least 5 years directly leading HR teams
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a must. Experience of working in FMCG industry is preferred
• Experience in a multinational corporation preferred
• Demonstrated experience in developing, leading and managing programs/projects and process improvements in talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent development and employee engagement
Skills
• Strong facilitation, communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, instilling trust and confidence in stakeholders at all levels
• Project management and process improvement knowledge and skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Other Requirements
• Expert knowledge of labor law and related regulations
• In-depth knowledge of BIR Form 1601 – C, including the monthly computation and remittance of withholding tax on employee compensation such as salaries, wages, and bonuses, in accordance with BIR regulations and deadlines
• Working knowledge of each line item in BIR Form 2316, including accurate completion of fields related to employee/employer information, compensation breakdown, tax exemptions, taxable income, and total tax withheld, to ensure compliance with BIR year-end reporting requirements
