Position Overview
The IT Technical Services Engineer provides responsive technical support for office, manufacturing, and site-based technology. This role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service skills, along with the ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader Technical Services team.
Responsibilities
• Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support endpoint, printing, mobility, access control, conference room, and manufacturing technology across office and production environments.
• Support manufacturing-floor technology, including label printers, RF scanners, rugged tablets, OT workstations, SAP printing, Loftware-related processes, and shop-floor peripherals.
• Provide support for office, badge, label, SAP, and specialty printing environments, including setup, troubleshooting, queue validation, replacement coordination, and vendor escalation.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and lifecycle-manage Windows, iOS, macOS, rugged tablets, Apple TV, and other endpoint devices using standard management, asset, and lease-return processes.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for wired, wireless, VPN, and device connectivity issues, coordinating escalation with infrastructure or application teams as needed.
• Own incidents and service requests through resolution with accurate documentation, timely member updates, clear closure notes, and appropriate escalation.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation to improve consistency, onboarding, and service quality.
• Serve as the primary onsite IT support contact for the Holton facility while collaborating remotely with Technical Services, vendors, site contacts, and service providers.
Education
• Associate’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
Experience
• Minimum of one year of professional information systems experience required, preferably in a technical support role.
• Working knowledge of Windows, O365, MS Intune, Autopilot, iOS, macOS, cloud technologies, computer hardware, and software applications.
• Working knowledge of networking, wireless, Ethernet, VPN support, manufacturing label printing, and diagnostic utilities.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, troubleshoot effectively, and support systems used in office and manufacturing environments.
Skills
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills. Ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language
• Strong documentation, communication, time management, and organization skills
Other Requirements
• Willingness to work hours outside of normal shift as needed
• Ability to travel, Domestic and International
• Willingness to work in a food manufacturing environment
• On-call rotation with other team members
