Technical Trainer
Position Overview:
Join Johnsonville’s Global Member Services and Organizational Development & Learning (MSOL) team as a Technical Trainer. You will play a key role in enabling our members and coaches to leverage their technology tools in an effective and efficient way. You will have the opportunity to develop and deliver technology-related training programs to help members and coaches improve their skills with technology tools following the ADDIE process. The Technical Trainer will take ownership of templates and standards for all technology-related training materials.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT, system and process owners and project/change management teams to support projects and drive technology adoption across all functional areas
- Conduct regular needs assessment to identify gaps in system or software adoption and develop targeted training approaches to address skill deficiencies
- Analyze needs to identify the most appropriate training modalities for various scenarios and audiences, including but not limited to, technology rollouts, upgrades and conversions
- Apply adult learning principles to create and maintain technical training programs and materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources needed to support ongoing learning; facilitate instructor-led training programs as needed
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technical training programs and tools, making adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Design templates and standards for all technology-related training and support materials; conduct train-the-trainer programs and provide consultation on training best practices to SMEs and system owners
- Collaborate with system and business-process owners to identify needs and deliver comprehensive solutions
- Identify technology-related training from external providers as needed to support user and business needs
- Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices to continuously improve training methodologies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, computer science or a related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years learning and development experience including proven experience with ADDIE, needs analysis, instructional design, eLearning, facilitation required
- High technical aptitude. Learns new technologies quickly
- Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft programs, especially Word and Powerpoint required
- Sharepoint experience required
- Power BI, Power Automate and Forms preferred
- Change and project management experience preferred
- Deskless worker training preferred; manufacturing experience a plus
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work across shifts as well as across departments for training and development needs at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10%)
