Formulation Team Lead

3rd Shift

Hours: 9:00pm – 5:30am, Sunday-Thursday (Overtime time as production demands)

Responsibilities

• Coach 3rd shift Formulation members to deliver superlative performance in the areas of safety, food safety/quality, cost of goods manufactured, and customer service
• Coach the development of personal capabilities for yourself and the team
• Create an environment of ownership where each person wants to be responsible
• Transfer ownership of the work to the members who do the work
• Learn faster and encourage others to do the same
• Effectively communicate to the proper channels when necessary
• Ensure a safe, helpful, team atmosphere, which promotes continuous improvement among team Members
• Participate in and facilitate daily GRILL meetings.
• Participate in and lead projects that leads to improvement in safety, quality, and cost
• Be responsible for the crewing and scheduling of members as well as verifying timecards for accuracy

Experience

• A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, in a USDA facility is preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to function in a team-based environment

• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (safety, HACCP, GMP and USDA) preferred
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated desire to learn, grow and take on additional responsibility
• Demonstrated experience in providing feedback and coaching members’ performance and development
• Demonstrated ability to build a high performing team
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong math background is required
• Must be able to obtain a fork-lift license
