US Commercial Finance – Sr. Financial Analyst Discounts & Trade

 

Position Overview:

As a member of the Johnsonville US Commercial Finance Team, the Senior Financial Analyst Discounts & Trade (D&T) will combine their financial technical, analytical expertise and leadership skills to partner with the Sales teams to drive business value. The successful candidate will be a key member providing coaching, financial analysis, decision-making support and recommendations, and development of financial acumen across the entire U.S. team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching and oversight for US Discounts & Trade Investment performance and reporting
  • Coach two members supporting the U.S. Commercial Traditional & Mass and Alternative Channels TPM systems and processes
  • Be the front-line support to our TPM solutions to ensure that the systems are optimized and reflect the changing business needs
  • Support monthly reporting of D&T results and performance against our critical goals, focusing on drivers-based analysis to identify insights and trends
  • Drive data analytics to discover useful information which can help the organization make informed decisions
  • Benchmark internal and external best practices to identify and implement continuous process improvement/effectiveness initiatives
  • Partner with U.S. Sales teams to deliver the annual operating plan and monthly operational forecasts by leveraging Integrated Business Planning - a monthly planning process that extends the entire value chain of a business
  • Partner with US Commercial Finance Manager on Discount & Trade Spend forecasts
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships at all levels of the organization to provide meaningful analysis, insights and recommendations
  • Continuously learn the overall business including competitive landscape, sales and marketing strategies, operations and supply chain as you work with cross functional members
  • Develop and coach members to instill a thirst for business acumen with an ability to critically evaluate business opportunities; have the skills to simplify communication of key insights and a passion to be a catalyst in driving value
  • Work with the US Commercial Finance Manager to promote business acumen with an ability to critically evaluate business opportunities
  • Participate in impactful change management initiatives supporting both the company and the Finance department

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of Accounting and/or Finance experience in roles of increasing responsibilities required
  • TPM, SAP, BPC and other reporting systems preferred
  • Previous experience in CPG industry a plus

  • Turns data from various sources into insights – explaining why and asking so what – with a strong attention to detail in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to filter data, removing the noise and focusing on the most important issues and trends
  • Strong computer skills required (Planning system, ERP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead major projects and change management efforts
  • Track record of delivering excellent results
  • Ability to create the new and different, especially when working with incomplete or disparate data and information
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and diverse relationships
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative on all work assignments
  • Desire for continued growth and learning
