Senior Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

 

Position Overview:

If you are looking to join a growing organization, Johnsonville has a great opportunity as our Senior Analyst within our FP&A group.  The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our business systems, processes, and data are aligned to drive actionable insights for members across Johnsonville.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and communications at all levels of the organization
  • System Support for our BPC (Business Planning & Consolidations) system
    • System training for new members/interns
    • Report maintenance for server reports and input templates
    • Version maintenance and save offs
    • Hierarchy maintenance
    • Liaison between Finance and IT
  • Support the financial forecasting processes – strategic plan, annual target setting and monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Forecast
  • Update and distribute key financial metrics and reporting
    • Learn the Enterprise business drivers at a deep level to provide meaningful financial & business analysis, insights and recommendations
    • Drive data analytics to discover useful information which can help the organization make timely, informed decisions
    • Work cross functionally to champion business reporting to ensure insights are coming from data
  • Lead monthly reporting of business results and performance against our critical goals, focusing on drivers-based analysis to identify insights and trends
  • Assist in the implementation of the technology roadmap to ensure successful alignment between business needs, financial needs, and technology
  • Support the growth of our business by preparing business and financial models to assess specific opportunities and special projects

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA, CMA, Advanced Degree or MBA a plus

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of related Accounting or Information Technology experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Power BI, SAP, BPC or other planning / forecasting / reporting / consolidation systems preferred
  • Integrated Business Planning – Oliver Wight methodology experience a plus

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to quickly build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong computer skills required (Planning system, ERP, Microsoft products)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to significantly participate in major projects and change management efforts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • The ability to instill trust and confidence with business partners and other finance team members
    • The ability to take complex data / information and drive it to simple, meaningful insights
  • Ability to filter data, removing the noise and focusing on the most important issues and trends
