Machine Operator
Pay Range: $26.00 - $27.20/hr, plus $2.00/hr weekend premium
Hours: 4:00am-4:30pm; Friday-Sunday (Overtime as production demands)
Responsibilities:
- Identify products by code and enter the information into the VRT (Variable Retention Time Freezer) computer
- Ensure the proper operation of the VRT (Variable Retention Time Freezer), conveyor systems, palletizing and de-palletizing systems
- Function as a Team Leader by working directly with the Intec Support Members
- Monitor the status of products in the VRT (Variable Retention Time Freezer) and be proactive in the prevention of problems. Where prevention is not possible, resolve problems before they escalate
- Protect the quality of product by ensuring that products do not sit in the palletizing area for more than 2 hours during slow production times or during downtime
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Maintain an organized working environment
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Ability to train on both 1st and 2nd shift during the week until April 6th.
Intec VRT (Variable Retention Time) Freezer Operator Essential Functions/Duties:
- Distinguish non-acceptable and acceptable quality products
- Monitor and ensure proper operation of all VRT freezer components including conveyor and roller systems, product elevators and pushers, RF scanners, and refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on VRT freezer components
- Work with and assist maintenance Members with major mechanical issues
- Read and understand daily production and deployment schedules
- Use SAP and Intec software to monitor incoming and outgoing product inventory
- Work with material handlers, other machine operators, and production Members to ensure smooth and continuous operation and inventory accuracy
- Assist with basic material handler duties during downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Experience:
- Experience working in a shipping/warehouse environment required
- Experience operating forklifts required
- Machine operator experience required
- Experience with working at height preferred
- Experience with fall protection equipment and practices preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to take ownership of own and other Members’ safety
- Must be willing to work in temperatures as low as -40°F
- Must be willing to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 75 feet above the ground
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 40lbs
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
