As a member of our supply chain team, you’ll ensure our customers receive noticeably better service and that our products are delivered accurately and on time. With great attention to detail, while still seeing the big picture, you’ll ensure all elements of the distribution process are considered and accounted for. Additionally, you’ll assist our operations team in obtaining the lowest industry cost. Working closely with internal partners, customers and vendors, you’ll provide a seamless and hassle-free logistics process.

Inventory Control Specialist
Position Overview:
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of inventory related tasks. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide cross-functional group of members throughout Johnsonville, and closely with your shipping department to assure our customer’s orders are fully satisfied.
Responsibilities:
- Complete all inventory transactions in SAP
- Review inventory reports
- Complete inventory moves, inventory entries, inventory error corrections, inventory receipt verifications, etc.
- Validate zero starting balance for critical storage types
- Run Warehouse Activity Monitor daily to validate critical objects
- Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies
- Create physical inventory documents
- Perform daily inventory cycle counts
- Perform daily bin consolidations
- Participate in mock recalls
- Participate in annual inventory audits
- Set goals and objectives both personal and as a team to achieve “superlative” performance to support the Johnsonville Way
- Maintain inventory reports and metric tools
- Populate and maintain inventory control scorecard
Education:
- High School Diploma required
Experience:
- Two or more years of computer experience required
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of Excel required
- General understanding of SAP preferred
- Ability to type quickly and efficiently
- Knowledge of shipping operations a plus
- Ability to work in a freezer environment a few hours per day
- Organized, yet flexible; able to prioritize workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
