IT Vendor Manager
Position Overview: The IT Vendor Manager is responsible for managing relationships with the company's IT vendors and service providers. This role ensures that all vendor contracts and agreements align with the company's strategic goals and deliver value. You will oversee vendor performance, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Contract Negotiation: Work with the Sourcing and Procurement team to negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and other contractual obligations, addressing any issues that arise.
- Vendor Work Request Management: Initiate, prioritize, and manage work requests with vendors. Establish and manage a triage process, serving as the point of escalation to drive issue resolution for vendor-supported solutions.
- Cost Management: Manage and optimize IT vendor spend, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and contracts.
- Compliance: Ensure all vendor activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure vendor solutions meet those requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on vendor performance, contract status, and cost savings to senior management.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE)
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement or a related role within IT
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends
- Proficiency in vendor management software and tools
Location: Global Headquarters, Sheboygan Falls, WI (Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee)
