IT Service Desk Analyst – 2nd Shift

 

Position Overview:

As a Service Desk Analyst, you will work as an integral member of the front-line IT End User Computing team, the IT Service Desk. You will support over 2000 internal members using technology in day-to-day manufacturing and business operations.  The IT Service Desk is the front line of our IT support team and creates the first impression to our internal and external customers.  This is a great opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while leveraging your technical knowledge and expertise, in an environment you can continually add to your skillset and grow your potential. We are looking for someone with strong communication and analytical skills as well as the ability to work effectively with customers and co-workers.  The ideal candidate should be a motivated self-starter with proven diagnostic ability. Communication and interpersonal skills are critical as well as being focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and answer phones, chat and portal tickets to provide front line technical support for all of Johnsonville’s supported technology
  • Create and configure member accounts, modify permissions and install software on member devices
  • Demonstrate your creative and analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technology issues for end users
  • Document and log all troubleshooting steps and tests performed for knowledge article creation
  • Display your strong customer service skills and positive demeanor while professionally supporting any type of technology user
  • Provide support, insight and perspective on projects and initiatives both within the Service Desk team and in partnership with other teams at Johnsonville
  • Strive for first-level resolution whenever possible, and 100% accurate escalation when necessary

 

Education:

  • ITIL Foundation preferred
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), willingness to get certified

 

Experience:

  • 1 year technical troubleshooting experience required
  • Customer service or previous IT Support experience preferred

 

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.  Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
  • A strong working knowledge of various computing devices - laptops, desktops, virtual machines and mobile devices
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following applications: Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS & iOS, Microsoft Office productivity suite, VMware Horizon View, SAP, ServiceNow
  • Malware and virus detection and removal
  • Working knowledge of networks, VPN support and network printer support
  • Strong documentation, time management and organization skills
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management best practices

                                             (Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee)

Hours:                                 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm

On Call:                               Responsibilities shared equally among team, using a weekly rotating schedule
