Job Summary:

As a Custodian/Janitor at Johnsonville, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our premises. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks to create a welcoming and functional environment for our members. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall well-being and reputation of our organization.

Pay Range: $13.87-18.86 (Starting rate based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.

2. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

3. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.

4. Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

5. Maintain clean and orderly break rooms, kitchens, and common areas.

6. Monitor and report any facility maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.

7. Assist in setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings.

8. Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

9. Adhere to established cleaning schedules and guidelines to ensure consistent cleanliness.

10. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

· Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is a plus but not required.

· Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of cleanliness.

· Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
