Position Overview

This role is responsible for driving sales growth within a food manufacturing environment by developing new business and expanding existing customer accounts. The position serves as a key commercial partner, working cross-functionally with Product Development, Operations, and Quality teams to deliver customer-focused solutions, bring new products to market, and increase volume, revenue, and profitability.

Responsibilities

•    Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities 
•    Manage and grow existing customer accounts to increase volume, profitability, and product penetration 
•    Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations 
•    Lead customer presentations, product pitches, and business reviews 
•    Identify customer needs and translate them into actionable product and packaging solutions 
•    Partner with Product Development and Operations to successfully launch new products and meet customer expectations 
•    Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales targets and margin goals 
•    Forecast sales, track performance, and proactively adjust strategies to meet or exceed goals 
•    Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms while protecting company margins 
•    Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities 
•    Ensure alignment with food safety, quality standards (e.g., SQF), and regulatory requirements in all customer solutions 
•    Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed 
•    Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives that impact customer success 
•    Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Education

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field preferred 

Experience

•    3+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably in food manufacturing, CPG, or B2B ingredient sales

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a strong track record of growing accounts and closing new business, preferably within food manufacturing or a related industry. This individual is highly motivated, competitive, and customer-focused, with the ability to build trust and deliver value-driven solutions. They must operate with integrity, maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information, and consistently represent the company in a professional manner.
