Position Overview

Provides support to the Human Resources team with partner orientation and initial onboarding functions, scanning files, administers appreciation initiatives, as well as other tasks to support the department. Promotes the safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA programs and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a supportive, cooperative, and inclusive environment with all partners always.
  • Provides general assistance with recruiting by screening and setting up interviews for candidates with hiring managers.
  • Prepare new hire packets and assist with new hire orientations; oversee completion of forms, review policies and procedures with hew hires, verify, and maintain I-9 documentation.
  • Using E-Verify, confirm worker eligibility for employment.
  • Scanning personnel records and investigation results.
  • Update the electronic communications board presentation daily.
  • Assist in coordinating company functions, meetings, presentations, etc. as requested; arrange for catering service for meals and events.
  • Complete employment verifications as needed.
  • Perform other administrative support duties, including filing, photocopying, faxing, and data entry.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

A minimum of a high school diploma is required; Candidate preferred will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. 

Experience

Experience with new hire orientations or recruitment is preferred.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Communication Skills:
Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to partners of the organization. Must possess professional telephone etiquette and represent the company in a professional manner.

 

Computer Skills
Must possess strong computer proficiency. Experience with an electronic HRIS system and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet is required. Previous experience with web-based payroll processing software is strongly preferred. Understanding Kronos (Workforce Management) for timekeeping is preferred.

 

Mathematical Skills
Must possess intermediate math skills, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.

 

Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to solve problems using root cause problem solving methods and principles, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the partner is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and talk and hear. The partner is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.

 

Work Environment
The noise level in the office work environment is low, and in the production work environment is usually loud. There is a wide variation of temperatures ranging from 35° F to 100° F in the various work areas. The work environment in the production areas is wet and slippery most of the time. Partners are required to wear frocks, hairnets, slip-resistant footwear, and hearing protection always on the production floor.
