Position Overview
Pay Range: $27.19/hr - $28.90/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium
Hours: 2:30pm – 11:30pm; Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands)
Responsibilities
• Consistently manufacture “great tasting” sausage products according to specifications
• Work together with all Members to obtain World Class results in safety, yields, usages, and efficiencies
• Participate in daily Tailgate meetings and project teams
• Grow, develop and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to Johnsonville.
• Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire “superlative” performance in order to support “The Johnsonville Way”.
• Learn to use Excel, Word and other computer programs
• Learn and apply the SAP transactions and functions within the WM module
Essential Functions/Duties:
• Plan and execute the daily work required to supply Formulation team with ground rework and sifted inclusions (cheese, pepper, etc.)
• Safely and efficiently use grinder and sifting equipment
• Receive all raw materials
• Ensure raw material quality
• Transfer raw meat into combos
• Coordinate flow of inbound/outbound products and materials via phone, radio, email and face to face interactions at the shipping/receiving doors.
• Ready and prepare pallets for outbound shipment
• Load outbound trailers per specifications
• Restock and manage production supplies as needed
• Operate refers and maintain proper trailer temps
• Safe and efficient use of lift trucks
• Participate in scheduling and tracking inbound post rigor loads
• Stage production materials for the RAW / RTE operations
• Verify inventory and cycle count bins to ensure warehouse accuracy
• Reconcile supply inventories after daily production
• Responsible for sifting of cheese and rework grinding
Experience
• 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred
Skills
• Proven exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people and personalities
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage work flow with frequent interruptions (time management)
• Professional demeanor
• Must enjoy being challenged with a variety of activities and responsibilities
• Proven history of engagement and commitment to Continuous Improvement
• Proven history of modeling the Johnsonville Way
• Excellent attendance and performance record
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and service customers
• Current PIV license preferred. Will train the right candidate.
• Current SAP user. Will train the right candidate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong math background is required
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
