As a member of the strategic planning team, you’ll be responsible for evaluating the market and helping identify the best path forward for Johnsonville’s continued growth. From new products, to channels, geographies and more, this team is responsible for evaluating global growth potential organization-wide.
Position Overview
The Manager of Planning Analytics will lead the development and execution of advanced analytics that enable Demand Planning excellence within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework. This role is pivotal in translating sales strategies, customer plans, pricing and promotion activity, and market demand signals into actionable, data-driven insights that inform demand plans and enterprise decisions.
The position will build and lead high-performing analytics responsible for developing scalable data models, advanced reporting, and interactive visualizations that support Commercial and Demand Planning processes. Leveraging Power BI and the Connected Planning platform, the role will design and automate analytical solutions, ensure data integrity across planning inputs, and deliver standardized and ad hoc reporting that enables scenario analysis, performance tracking, and executive-level decision support throughout the IBP cycle.
Responsibilities
• Develop advanced dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI to provide actionable insights for demand planning.
• Establish KPI frameworks (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, forecast value add) and ensure visibility across planning horizons.
• Partner with IT and planning teams to maintain data integrity and system performance.
• Drive automation and scalability of analytics processes.
• Collaborate with Demand and Commercial Planning teams to identify key drivers, assumptions, and scenarios.
• Support monthly IBP cycle with analytics that highlight gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Model demand scenarios driven by pricing, promotion, and customer plan changes to understand trade-offs between service performance, inventory, and cash.
• Work closely with Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to align analytics outputs with business objectives.
• Influence decision-making by providing fact-based recommendations during planning forums.
• Present complex statistical concepts and findings in a clear and accessible way to non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends in statistical methods, applying the latest advancements to enhance business analytics capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement in the accuracy and reliability of the statistical models, constantly refining methodologies to optimize business outcomes.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or related field, preferred
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, supply chain planning, or demand forecasting, required
• Proven experience creating dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, required
• Hands-on experience with advanced planning and optimization within a Connected Planning Solution, required
• Experience with o9 is highly preferred
