Position Overview

The Digital Asset Management Administrator Intern will support the organization and governance of related digital assets across Packaging Graphics, Marketing, and Corporate teams. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a Science Librarian, Information Science, Library Science, or related degree who is interested in metadata, taxonomy, controlled vocabularies, digital asset workflows, and brand or packaging content management.

 

The intern will help upload, classify, review, and maintain digital assets so that files are easy to find, accurately described, and aligned with internal naming, metadata, and taxonomy standards. The role will also provide exposure to packaging graphics workflows and may include learning how packaging graphics are generated and prepared for business use.

 

You will also participate with Interns from across the company in organized activities which provide networking and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience with DAM administration, metadata management, taxonomy application, and information governance.
  • Build practical knowledge of packaging graphics workflows and cross-functional creative operations.
  • Learn how digital assets support brand consistency, speed to market, compliance, reuse, and team efficiency.

Education

  • Candidate must currently be working towards a Science Librarianship, Library Science, information Science Degree. Junior or senior status preferred
  • 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred

Experience

  • Prior work experience preferred

Skills

  • Strong interest in metadata, taxonomy, classification, searchability, information architecture, and digital content stewardship.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy when reviewing asset information.
  • Comfortable collaborating with creative, marketing, corporate, and packaging stakeholders.
  • Ability to follow standards, ask thoughtful questions, and identify inconsistencies or opportunities to improve information quality.
  • Graphic design knowledge is a plus, particularly familiarity with packaging artwork, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, PDFs, image formats, or print production concepts; however, it is not required for this position.

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to function in a team-based environment
