Position Overview

You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that packages items from the animal to the medical community to help save lives.  By working safely and interacting with other members, you will help promote a team environment where everyone can learn and grow. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Learn several job functions within packaging and other departments.
  • Follow all USDA and Johnsonville policies.
  • Notify team leaders and/or maintenance of problems.
  • Use knives and whiz knives in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform all job skills in a safe and precise manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education

  • No education required - looking for someone willing to learn.

Experience

Skills

  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Attention to details.
  • Prioritizing.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred however not necessary

Other Requirements

  • TEMPERATURE - Will be exposed to wide variations in temperature.
  • Ability to work with inside conditions that include exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate odor, and presence of animal blood.
  • Ability to fill/lift/carry 30-50 lb. boxes repeatedly.
  • Ability to push/pull carts and racks
