Position Overview
You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that packages items from the animal to the medical community to help save lives. By working safely and interacting with other members, you will help promote a team environment where everyone can learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Learn several job functions within packaging and other departments.
- Follow all USDA and Johnsonville policies.
- Notify team leaders and/or maintenance of problems.
- Use knives and whiz knives in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform all job skills in a safe and precise manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education
- No education required - looking for someone willing to learn.
Experience
Skills
- Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Attention to details.
- Prioritizing.
- Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred however not necessary
Other Requirements
- TEMPERATURE - Will be exposed to wide variations in temperature.
- Ability to work with inside conditions that include exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate odor, and presence of animal blood.
- Ability to fill/lift/carry 30-50 lb. boxes repeatedly.
- Ability to push/pull carts and racks
