As part of Johnsonville’s foodservice sales team, you’ll work with top restaurants, stadiums and other foodservice customers to get Johnsonville Sausage on their menus. It’s another way for you, as a Johnsonville Member, to touch the lives of millions of people and make their days just a bit more enjoyable. From salads to sandwiches, entrees and side dishes, you’ll partner with customers to help them discover what legendary flavor can do for them.

Director of Marketing - Foodservice

 

Position Overview:

It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Johnsonville Foodservice team, which is a strategic growth area for Johnsonville. The marketing vision at Johnsonville is creating a world class brand that creates success for our customers, drives innovation in the marketplace, and delivers an exceptional financial return.  As the Director of Marketing for Foodservice, you’ll manage all marketing elements for the Foodservice and C-store Business, including strategic planning, new product development, and promotional strategy and execution. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to lead the vision and bring the Johnsonville brand to life with our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop the Marketing team
  • Own channel strategy, the P&L, pricing and promotion strategy, budget/plan, forecasting (IBP), capital recommendations, sku rationalization, supply chain, marketing needs and competitive assessment
  • Ensure execution of trade communications and insights and research
  • Lead in the development of annual planning and long-term vision of existing core categories as well as innovation platforms within all foodservice channels and segments (C-Store and Field Sales) to drive future growth
  • Own strategic planning, development, and launch plan for all innovation platforms and programs, including development of long-term innovation pipelines and multi-year capital planning strategy
  • Develop strategic positioning for new product launches and development of presentations for the sales teams, including participating in key strategic customer presentations
  • Own the relationships with our advertising agency and research partners

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MBA preferred

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience required; foodservice experience preferred (channel, customer, product development, strategy)
  • A successful track record of leading a team and coaching others
  • Strong P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to foster an environment that drives learning, personal accountability, excellence, and teamwork
  • Proven ability to drive execution

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Skilled at fostering relationships and collaborating across multiple functions (R&D, operations, demand planning, sales, etc.), teaching and transferring knowledge
  • Tell an impactful story through strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated financial acumen
  • Demonstrated business savvy and strategic planning
  • Prioritize with tact – help your team focus on the right things while maintaining strong relationships
