Demand Planning Analyst Intern

Position Overview:
This is a great opportunity for an individual who enjoys working for a growth-minded organization that prioritizes learning, personal accountability, and cross-functional teamwork. We are seeking an individual with a desire to learn about the market intricacies and a natural aptitude for harnessing data to make strategic choices. At Johnsonville, we believe that excellence in demand planning is not just a function; it's the bedrock upon which we build our success. We are looking for someone who can learn about the complexities of consumer behavior, and who can turn data into actionable insights. This position will provide ample opportunities for the development of core business competencies and experience managing cross-cultural discussions.
Responsibilities:
As a Member of Johnsonville’s Demand Analytics team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through the following duties:
- Learn about and analyze Demand patterns and maintain weekly/monthly forecasts.
- Utilize historical sales data, market intelligence, and statistical models to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Working with cross-functional teams such as Supply Planning, Marketing, Finance and Sales to align monthly forecasts by sharing performance and upcoming promotional activities.
- Create and share Demand Planning reports with key stakeholders.
- Learn about our o9 Connected Planning solution’s forecasting tool, statistical analyses, analyzing downstream data (Nielsen, IRI), managing product life cycles, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations, and Finance.
- Opportunity to work with various Business Units (International, Food Service & Retail)
Education:
- Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business; junior or senior status preferred.
- 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Prior relevant work experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent computer skills including Excel proficiency
- Able to prioritize competing priorities and deadlines
- Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
- Quick learner, ability to work independently
- Must possess a drive for excellence
