Position Overview
Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring documents and processes are adhering to an established quality, food safety and halal standard. To assist in verification activities of raw materials as scheduled including sampling process, conduct further testing and result updates.
Responsibilities
- Conducting the entire quality, food safety and halal inspection process, looking out for specific problems, minutely observing the units of goods produced for visible defects.
- Performing various tests on the samples drawn, noting down observations, accepting and rejecting lots on the basis of the samples checked.
- Assisting in the implementation of quality, food safety and halal programs, preparation of related documents and performing other tasks assigned by superior.
- Ensuring that approved procedures are implemented in the quality, food safety function and all staff adhere to these procedures.
- To assist Quality Assurance Manager in handling non-conformance (raw material) thru the online system and physical control.
- To assist in implementing all specified food safety, quality and halal activities of the company.
- To liaise with other departments on the possible causes of quality and food safety-related problems.
- To assist in preparing documents for any export application (VHM & SFA certification).
- To assist in preparing the internal product specification.
- To assist in maintaining the documents (procedure, supporting, form and master list) and obsolete documents.
- Maintaining and updating the raw material specification from suppliers and other related documents such as COA, Halal Certificate, LOG etc.
- Responsible to issue the raw material complaint to the supplier for any issue found.
- Assist in preparing related documents as preparation for any internal and external audits.
- To perform any other assigned duties from time to time.
Education
Diploma/Bachelor of Microbiology/Food Science/Nutrition/Dietitian or equivalents.
Experience
- Knowledge in computers and experience in the related field.
- Experience in frozen food manufacturing is added advantage.
Skills
- Well on using Microsoft Office and SAP System
- Good in speaking and writing in English/Malay.
- Fit to manage personnel and to conduct activities of Quality department.
- Ability to voice suggestions or comment effectively.
- Capable of working alone and with others under stress.
